The name of this organization is the New York Empire Polled Hereford and Hereford Breeders, Inc. doing business as the NEW YORK HEREFORD BREEDERS, INC, (NYHB). This Association is a not-for-profit corporation and is associated with the American Hereford Association.
Objectives of the NYHB
 To advance the interests of Hereford breeder members in New York and surrounding areas
To help establish new breeders
To promote New York as a source of genetically valuable seed stock
To help educate members in husbandry and marketing practices by collecting and disseminating information and materials and conducting public activities
To communicate with members and those interested in Herefords through correspondence, newsletters, and other means
To conduct field days, tours, youth activities, meetings, educational forums, and other public events
To do any and all things necessary to advance the genetic breeding values of Herefords and the interests of Association members.
