Junior Membership Application
For almost 80 years, Hereford Breeding Cattle enthusiasts have come together with the common goal of promoting the Hereford Breed. The New York Hereford Breeders Association, an incorporated nonprofit organization of 75 progressive Hereford Breeders from New York State and surrounding states, banded together to improve and promote these popular beef cattle for the benefit of the breed in general and the profit potential of its members in particular. Since 1933, the New York Hereford Breeders Association has faithfully represented and completely served its membership.

SERVICE...
An officer team and committee members who are qualified to carry out the responsibilities and goals of the New York Hereford Breeders Association. This group of enthusiastic volunteers is ready to help you to become enthusiastic about the future of the Hereford breed in New York State.
REPRESENTATION...
The New York Hereford Breeders Association represents you in the following organizations: New York Beef Producer’s Association, The New York State Fair Beef Cattle Department, Cornell Cooperative Extension Service, and the American Hereford Association.
PROMOTION...
A quarterly newsletter, New York Hereford News, contains current events, activities, advertising and articles of interest to Hereford Breeders. The biannual NYHB Directory promoting all members herds and having State and regional distribution. We also sponsor the NY Empire Classic Show and manage the State Futurity Show. We promote the Hereford breed at Empire Farm Days in Seneca Falls, the NY Farm Show in Syracuse, and at the Annual NY Beef Producer’s Winter Conference. Herefords Cattle are promoted at the NY State Fair as well as National Shows. A Queen and Princess contest, sponsorship for junior member activities, and promotion of the annual “Fall Festival” interbreed youth event are ways that we try to promote Herefords and to help encourage youth to be involved with the Hereford breed.
SALES...
We are in a new era of creating sales opportunities for members. We host a Northeast Elite Hereford Sale in September each year at Trowbridge Farms in Ghent, NY. All members have the opportunity to showcase their cattle.
MEMBERSHIP...
We need the active membership of every Hereford Breeder to develop and promote the potential of the Greatest Beef Breed in America. We extend our invitation to you to join today so that we can all benefit from the opportunities that Herefords present. By working together we can create a strong future Hereford cattle in New York State.
